About the Role

We are seeking an experienced IT Asset Management Specialist to join our team at the University of Kent. As an IT Asset Management Specialist, you will be responsible for the effective management and compliance of IT hardware, cloud, and software assets across the University.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage IT hardware, software, and cloud assets for the University, driving a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with vendor terms, legislation, industry standards, and internal policies related to IT assets.
  • Maintain and report accurate records of hardware, cloud, and software assets.
  • Identify and manage risks associated with the University's IT assets.
Requirements
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Experience in IT hardware or software asset management, including procurement, inventory tracking, and compliance.
  • Knowledge of licensing models, relevant regulations, and industry standards related to IT hardware and software asset management.
  • Familiarity with hardware and software asset management tools and systems.
