Employee Relations Consultant

As a vital member of the Employee Relations team, you will play a key role in supporting our organization. We are seeking an experienced professional to join us for a fixed term period. Your primary responsibility will be to offer comprehensive guidance and support to Line Managers, ensuring effective management of HR casework and generalist assistance through the provision of timely and precise advice.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver accurate and reliable advice to all stakeholders.
- Act as the Subject Matter Expert in areas such as absence management and disciplinary procedures.
- Design and implement training programs to enhance the skills of Line Managers in policy, procedure, and employment legislation.
- Provide expert advice to Line Managers on employee relations matters, fostering strong relationships with trade union representatives and other key stakeholders.
- Guide Line Managers in the execution of initiatives and processes related to casework.
- Contribute to the development of new policies affecting HR casework.
- Participate in departmental consultative forums to support ongoing discussions.
To thrive in this specialized role, you should possess the following qualifications:
- Demonstrated HR experience in managing complex casework.
- In-depth knowledge of current employment law.
- Strong commercial awareness and understanding of business requirements.
- CIPD qualification is preferred.
- Experience collaborating with Trade Unions and navigating partnership agreements is advantageous.
As our organization undergoes significant changes impacting the People/ER workload, we are looking for a candidate who can easily commute and is willing to work primarily in the office. Ideally, your background should include experience in a large organization with a dynamic flow of employee relations work.
