Role Responsibilities

As an Employee Relations Consultant, you will be an integral part of our Employee Relations team, providing essential support and guidance to management. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering comprehensive advice to Line Managers to facilitate effective HR case resolution.
  • Acting as a Subject Matter Expert in areas such as absence management and disciplinary procedures.
  • Developing and conducting training sessions for Line Managers on policies, procedures, and employment legislation.
  • Building strong relationships with Trade Union representatives and other key stakeholders.
  • Offering guidance on the implementation of initiatives related to casework.
  • Contributing to the development of new policies affecting HR case management.
  • Participating in departmental consultative forums.

Qualifications for Success

To excel in this specialist role, candidates should possess:

  • Proven HR experience with complex case management.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of employment law.
  • A strong understanding of business needs and commercial awareness.
  • Preferably, a CIPD qualification.
  • Experience working with Trade Unions and within partnership agreements.

We are looking for a candidate who can easily commute and is willing to work primarily on-site. Experience in a large organization with a significant volume of Employee Relations work is highly desirable.
