Medical Receptionist

Lea Vale Medical Group is seeking a highly skilled Medical Receptionist to join our Ampthill branch surgery. As a key member of our non-clinical team, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our practice.
Main Responsibilities- Make appointments for patients to see GPs, nurses, or other healthcare professionals.
- Communicate effectively with patients, visitors, and practice staff to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Provide patients with basic information and act as a resource for more complex queries.
- Operate our clinical computer system and maintain accurate data entry.
- Communicate with external agencies, such as transport and hospital services.

Requirements- Good level of education to GCSE standard or equivalent.
- Experience of working in a customer services or front-line situation.
- Computer literacy with excellent keyboard skills.
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently and follow set procedures.
- Use of clinical system software, such as SystmOne.
- Previous NHS experience, ideally within a GP setting.
