Overview: An exceptional opportunity exists for a Sleep Technician to become part of the Sleep and Ventilation team, which delivers diagnostic, treatment, and review services for a patient population of 3,500 individuals who depend on ventilation and CPAP therapy.

Role Responsibilities: This part-time position (18.75 hours per week) will collaborate with the existing sleep technician, specialist nurses, and nurse consultant to assist patients with sleep-related breathing disorders. The service operates within the Respiratory Unit, providing support to patients both in clinical settings and at home.

The incumbent will be tasked with:

  • Ordering, supplying, and managing necessary consumables.
  • Responding to patient inquiries through the telephone support system.
  • Programming and downloading data from diagnostic sleep equipment.
  • Setting up sleep studies both remotely and in a nurse-led diagnostic clinic after a training period.

Qualifications: A solid understanding of various software applications, including email, word processing, PECOS, data entry, and patient management systems, is essential. Training will be provided on specific sleep management software. Candidates who possess strong communication skills and are dedicated to maintaining high standards in patient care are encouraged to consider this role.
