About the Role

NHS Highland is seeking a highly motivated and forward-thinking pharmacist to join our team in the Aseptic Production Unit within the Pharmacy Department. As the authorized pharmacist, you will be responsible for working closely with the oncology/haematology pharmacists and dieticians to provide high-quality systemic anticancer therapy items and parenteral nutrition to adults and neonatal patients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Gain extensive experience in aseptic dispensing, including practical experience leading to participation in the Scottish national aseptic audit programme.
  • Work closely with the ADU team to ensure the service meets national quality standards.
  • Participate in the development of new opportunities and changes for the ADU.
  • Contribute to the Scottish national aseptic audit programme.

Requirements

  • GPhC registered pharmacist with good organisational skills and an eye for detail.
  • Excellent communication and inter-personal skills.
  • Ability to work as part of a team.
  • Desirable: experience in project management and change management.
