Position Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and proactive pharmacist to take on a pivotal role within our Aseptic Production Unit, part of the Pharmacy Department. This position focuses on the critical responsibility of managing high-quality systemic anticancer therapies and parenteral nutrition for diverse patient populations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Dispense and oversee the preparation of anticancer therapy items, ensuring adherence to national quality standards.
  • Collaborate closely with oncology and haematology specialists, as well as dieticians, to provide comprehensive patient care.
  • Engage in practical aseptic dispensing experiences, contributing to the Scottish national aseptic audit programme upon completion of training.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will be a GPhC registered pharmacist, possessing strong organizational abilities and meticulous attention to detail. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential for effective teamwork. Experience in project and change management is advantageous.

Work Schedule:

This position does not require participation in an on-call rota; however, occasional weekend and public holiday work may be necessary.
