Position Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and proactive pharmacist to take on a pivotal role within our Aseptic Production Unit. This position is integral to the Pharmacy Department, where you will serve as the authorized pharmacist, ensuring the delivery of high-quality pharmaceutical care.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Dispense systemic anticancer therapy items, including those for clinical trials, to support cancer patients across various healthcare facilities.
  • Provide essential parenteral nutrition services to both adult and neonatal patients.
  • Engage in continuous improvement initiatives to align our services with national quality standards.
  • Participate in the Scottish national aseptic audit programme upon completion of training.

Team Collaboration:

You will be an integral member of the Aseptic Production Unit team, collaborating closely with oncology and haematology pharmacists, as well as dieticians, to enhance patient care.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will be a GPhC registered pharmacist with strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities are essential, along with the capacity to work effectively within a team environment. Experience in project and change management is advantageous.

Work Schedule:

This position does not require participation in an on-call rota; however, occasional weekend and public holiday work may be necessary.
