We are looking for a knowledgeable and purpose-driven Finance Assistant to oversee the financial administration and processes for Safehinge Primera Limited and Safehinge Group Limited, collectively referred to as "SHP".

Role Overview:

This position is crucial to the Finance function's ability to generate timely and precise financial reports, which are vital for a scaling organization.

Reporting directly to the Head of Finance, this role encompasses a wide range of operational duties and necessitates a solid understanding of financial processes.

Your responsibilities will include managing daily operations within the Finance team, such as processing sales and purchase invoices, handling team member expenses (including company credit cards), reconciling bank accounts, and performing other essential balance sheet reconciliations. As our organization expands, you will also have the chance to assist with additional financial processes, fostering both personal and professional growth.

Key Responsibilities:

Execution of essential financial tasks, including:

  • Preparation and distribution of customer invoices with accurate nominal coding.
  • Conducting aged debt analysis and escalating overdue amounts to the Finance Officer.
  • Processing supplier invoices, ensuring purchase order assessments and nominal coding accuracy.
  • Resolving supplier inquiries and escalating complex issues to the Finance Officer.
  • Reconciling supplier statements.
  • Reviewing and processing team member expenses (both out-of-pocket and company credit card) to ensure compliance with business norms and proper authorization.
  • Managing the Finance mailbox to ensure timely responses to queries and escalation to the Finance Officer or Head of Finance as necessary.

  • Demonstrated experience in a similar role within a busy Finance team.
  • Strong organizational and prioritization abilities to manage a diverse workload effectively.
  • Foundational knowledge of accounting and bookkeeping.
  • Proficient IT skills (experience with Odoo or similar ERP systems is advantageous; proficiency in Microsoft Office and/or G-suite is required).
  • Experience in general office administration.
  • A passion for continuous improvement.
  • Strong numerical and spreadsheet skills (Excel).
  • Excellent interpersonal skills; a natural people person whose values align with ours.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to convey important information to stakeholders.
