Food and Beverage Team Leader
Location: The Story of Gardening Exhibition
Salary: £28,000 per annum plus tronc and excellent benefits
Working Hours: 40 hours over 5 days, including regular weekends and bank holidays

About the Role
We are seeking a passionate Team Leader to oversee the daily functions at the Story of Gardening, which features an engaging exhibition and café. In this position, you will be responsible for managing inventory and minimizing waste, guiding and mentoring your team to deliver exceptional hospitality, ensuring high service standards, and assisting your manager in maintaining seamless operations. Collaboration with our Health and Safety team will be essential to guarantee a secure environment for all. If you possess prior experience in Food & Beverage, value teamwork, and have a love for hospitality, this opportunity may be ideal for you.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the management team to optimize departmental productivity, creativity, and efficiency.
  • Ensure guests receive the highest quality experience by managing expectations and implementing improvements as needed.
  • Assist in managing inventory, costs, and waste effectively.
  • Adhere to all departmental procedures and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Build and maintain relationships across various departments, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of all areas.
  • Monitor food quality standards and provide recommendations based on current trends and guest feedback.
  • Foster personal and team development, emphasizing productivity, performance, and presentation.
  • Implement systems to manage team dynamics and uphold departmental presentation standards.
  • Represent the company professionally, ensuring you and your team maintain impeccable appearances.
  • Uphold the service style and ethos of the organization at all times.
