Job Summary:

The Cross is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Restaurant Manager to join our team. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the entire Front of House (FOH) operation, ensuring exceptional customer service and maintaining the highest standards of quality and consistency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Fully accountable for FOH operation when on duty, ensuring seamless service delivery and exceptional customer experience.
  • Develop and nurture a high-performing team, providing guidance, support, and training to ensure consistent delivery of high standards.
  • Hands-on approach to managing FOH operations, including staff management, customer service, and inventory control.
  • Grow and maintain customer satisfaction through effective communication, problem-solving, and conflict resolution.
  • Natural charm and confidence to build strong relationships with customers, colleagues, and suppliers.
  • Exceptional service standards and attention to detail, ensuring a world-class dining experience for our customers.
  • High-level delegation skills to effectively manage and prioritize tasks, ensuring seamless service delivery.
  • Clear and decisive communication with the kitchen team to ensure seamless service delivery and minimize errors.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a similar role, preferably in a Michelin-starred or high-end restaurant environment.
  • Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with customers, colleagues, and suppliers.
  • Exceptional customer service skills, with the ability to provide a world-class dining experience.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks.
