Psychology Graduate – Educational Support Specialist

Are you a recent graduate in Psychology looking to embark on a rewarding career in education?

  • Working Hours: Full-time 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM
  • Compensation: £13.50 per hour
  • Location: Hyndburn

Key Responsibilities:

Provide support to children in a primary school environment, either individually or in small groups.

Utilize your initiative to tailor learning experiences to accommodate the diverse needs of students.

Foster positive relationships with colleagues, students, and their families.

Identify and address gaps in children's learning by focusing on their developmental progress.

Assist children in developing their social, emotional, and mental health skills (SEMH).

Implement the theoretical concepts from your Psychology studies while supporting students.

Adapt educational activities to suit the individual needs of children.

Encourage a positive school culture and assist teachers in preparing for classroom activities.

Qualifications:

A degree in Psychology, preferably with prior experience working with children.

Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

A proactive approach to suggesting improvements based on your knowledge and theory.

A genuine passion for fostering a nurturing and stimulating educational environment.

Enhanced DBS on the update service is required.

All quoted pay rates include 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This position is temporary, with the possibility of becoming permanent in the future.
