Experienced Key Stage 2 Learning Support Assistant Required

We are looking for dedicated and qualified Key Stage 2 Learning Support Assistants who are eager to contribute positively to the educational journey and growth of children.

  • Employment Type: Full-time, 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM
  • Compensation: £13.50 per hour
  • Focus: Key Stage 2
  • Location: Hyndburn, Lancashire

Key Responsibilities:

  • Adopt a supportive and patient demeanor to foster strong relationships with students.
  • Engage with families and caregivers to share insights regarding student progress.
  • Provide assistance to all students, including those with special educational needs.
  • Facilitate small group interventions.
  • Collaborate closely with the Class Teacher and other educational professionals to enhance student learning experiences.
  • Support classroom management and implement effective behavior management techniques.
  • Contribute to creating a safe, enjoyable, and inclusive educational atmosphere.
  • Participate actively in the broader school community and its initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience working with children, ideally within an educational environment.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience supporting Key Stage 2 students.
  • Solid understanding of the Key Stage 2 curriculum.
  • Possession of Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant certification or equivalent.
  • Current Enhanced DBS on the update service.
  • Experience in supporting children with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) challenges.

All quoted pay rates include 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This position is temporary, with the possibility of a permanent role in the future.
