Job SummaryWe are seeking a recent Psychology Graduate to join our team as a Teaching Assistant. As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers to support children in a primary school setting. This is an excellent opportunity to apply your theoretical knowledge and skills in a practical setting.
Key Responsibilities- Support children in a primary school setting, either one-to-one or in small groups
- Use your initiative to adapt learning to meet the needs of children
- Build relationships with colleagues, children, and parents
- Identify gaps in children's learning and focus on their development
- Support children with their social, emotional, and mental health skills (SEMH)
- Apply theoretical knowledge from your Psychology degree to support children
- Promote a nurturing and stimulating learning environment
- A degree in Psychology, ideally with experience working with children
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- A willingness to make suggestions and use your theoretical knowledge
- A passion for creating a supportive and engaging learning environment
- Enhanced DBS on the update service
