We are seeking a dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join our team in a primary school setting. This role involves supporting the class teacher and taking on additional responsibilities as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess student needs and provide targeted support to enhance learning outcomes.
  • Establish strong relationships with students, promoting a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Be prepared to step in for the class teacher in their absence, ensuring continuity of education.
  • Identify and address learning gaps to support student progress.
  • Understand and adhere to safeguarding procedures to ensure a safe and secure environment.

This is a full-time temporary position, with the possibility of becoming permanent depending on circumstances.

Requirements:

  • Relevant experience as a HLTA or Level 3 Teaching Assistant.
  • A Level 2 safeguarding certificate (can be completed following application).
  • A DBS on the update service (can be applied for following application).
  • Professional references from two most recent employers.
