Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Recovery Practitioner/Nurse to join our dynamic team in Theatres at Kent and Canterbury Hospital. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and supporting the efficient running of the department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional patient care and support to patients undergoing a wide range of procedures, including Orthopaedics, Vascular, Urology, ENT, Maxillofacial, Robotic surgery, EVT, and Mechanical Thrombectomy.
  • Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless patient care and efficient departmental operations.
  • Develop and implement effective leadership skills and experience in the management of the department.
  • Assist the Theatre Co-ordinator in leading the team and ensuring the theatre services are efficiently and effectively utilised.
  • Review and implement changes to nursing and theatre practice based on research and best practice.
  • Provide effective communication and act as a role model, teaching and mentoring members of the team.
