Senior Recovery Practitioner/Nurse - Band 6

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Recovery Practitioner/Nurse to join our dynamic team at East Kent Hospitals University NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our theatre team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the highest standards of patient care and safety.

Main Responsibilities
  • Support and maintain a high standard of patient care for a wide variety of procedures, including Orthopaedics, Vascular, Urology, ENT, Maxillofacial, Robotic surgery, EVT, and Mechanical Thrombectomy.
  • Participate in the on-call rota and provide support to colleagues as needed.
  • Review and implement changes to nursing and theatre practice based on research and best practice.

Person Specification
  • Minimum 2 years post-registration experience in theatre.
  • Demonstrates a patient-focused approach.
  • Registered Nurse or ODP III/ODA C&G 752 ODP Diploma/Anaesthetic course for nurses.
  • Completion of or willingness to complete the Preceptorship Programme.
  • Mentor Qualification or willingness to complete.
