We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Recovery Practitioner/Nurse to join our dynamic team at East Kent Hospitals University NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our theatre team, you will play a vital role in supporting and maintaining a high standard of patient care for a wide variety of procedures.
Main Responsibilities- Support and maintain a high standard of patient care for a wide variety of procedures, including Orthopaedics, Vascular, Urology, ENT, Maxillofacial, Robotic surgery, EVT, and Mechanical Thrombectomy.
- Participate in the on-call rota and provide support to the team as needed.
- Review nursing and theatre practice and implement appropriate changes based on research and best practice.

Person Specification- Minimum 2 years post-registration experience in theatre.
- Demonstrates a patient-focused approach.
- Registered Nurse or Operating Department Practitioner with relevant qualifications and training.
- Completion of or willingness to complete the Preceptorship Programme.
- Mentor Qualification or willingness to complete.
- Previous experience at Band 5 within the specialty.
- Evidence of facilitating learning in practice.
- Evidence of ongoing personal and professional development.
- Mentor Qualification or ENB 998.
- Ensure registration with the relevant professional body is maintained and practice within the professional codes of conduct.
- Understands the role of human factors in healthcare and the importance of non-technical skills on patient safety.
- Able to juggle multiple demands by setting priorities and planning effectively.
- Able to manage conflicting and unpredictable demands.
