Canterbury, Kent, United Kingdom Kent Community Health NHS Foundation Trust Full time

Position Overview

The healthcare landscape is evolving, with a stronger focus on community-centered care. This is an opportune moment to become part of our dedicated team.

We are currently seeking empathetic healthcare professionals who value patient interaction. Our aim is to treat the individual as a whole, addressing their aspirations and how we can assist them in achieving their goals.

We invite applications for a passionate and flexible Clinical Lead Nurse to join our supportive and forward-thinking team.

Our facilities are led by nursing professionals and emphasize comprehensive rehabilitation and therapeutic support for individuals requiring additional assistance to return home or those in the later stages of life.

While the environment is welcoming, the role demands quick thinking and the confidence to make independent decisions regarding patient care, under the guidance of the supervising nurse.

Key Responsibilities

As a Clinical Lead Nurse, you will play a vital role in delivering care within an inpatient environment. Your contributions will be essential to the effective operation of our facility and the recovery of our patients.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Collaborating with a team to provide care to local patients and their families
  • Assessing the quality of care being provided
  • Offering constructive feedback to management regarding care standards.

You will encounter patients of various ages, predominantly the elderly, as well as those recently discharged from acute care, terminally ill individuals, or those with physical disabilities.

As a Clinical Lead Nurse, you will work collaboratively to ensure the safety and well-being of patients during their stay. You will implement care plans designed to support individuals and ensure a positive experience for those utilizing our services.

Working with Us

Our organization is recognized for its commitment to high-quality patient care and exceptional services aimed at enhancing community health. We are in search of remarkable individuals who align with our values: Compassionate, Aspirational, Responsive, and Excellent.

We believe that a commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion results in improved patient care and a more satisfied workforce. We take pride in our diverse environment and encourage applications from individuals with varied backgrounds and experiences.

We collect information regarding your protected characteristics on our application forms. This information is confidential and only accessible to those involved in the recruitment process, ensuring a fair evaluation.

As a flexible working-friendly organization, we aim to accommodate your working preferences while ensuring we meet the needs of our patients. We encourage discussions about flexible working arrangements that respect your personal interests and family commitments.

Detailed Job Responsibilities

The job description and person specification provide comprehensive information about this role. Please review the criteria carefully and demonstrate how your experience aligns with these requirements in your application.

If you have any questions, our recruitment team is available to assist you.

We encourage timely applications as high interest in certain roles may lead to early closure of vacancies.

At our organization, we strongly advocate for all colleagues in clinical and non-clinical roles who have direct or social contact with patients to be fully vaccinated, ensuring the safety of everyone involved.
