About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Cinematic Artist to join our team at PlayStation Global. As a key member of our creative team, you will be responsible for crafting high-quality cinematic sequences that bring our story-driven 'Dark Horror Narrative Adventure' to life.

This is an ambitious, AAA project that requires a deep understanding of cinematic storytelling principles, visual storytelling theory, and the latest cinematic pipelines and workflows. You will work closely with our Cinematography Director and the team to develop the cinematics from previs to final production.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and build high-quality cinematic sequences using cinematography, camera animation, and editing skills.
  • Independently maintain and develop the cinematics in a highly iterative environment.
  • Help establish and drive the pipelines, processes, and methodologies across the cinematic teams.
  • Plan and prioritize tasks to ensure deliverables are completed on time and to desired quality.
  • Collaborate with the team to resolve technical challenges and push project quality.
  • Supervise junior members of the team and coach them to success through reviews and mentorship.
Requirements
  • Experience as a Cinematic Artist with a strong portfolio showcasing visual storytelling and cinematography skills.
  • Proficiency in Unreal Engine 5 Sequencer, MotionBuilder, Maya, or other equivalent 3D programs.
  • Strong understanding of cinematic storytelling principles, cinematic language, literacy, and visual storytelling theory in an interactive medium.
  • Excellent framing and animation skills for cinematic cameras.
  • Deep understanding of the latest cinematic pipelines and workflows.
  • Exceptional team collaboration and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
Desirable Skills
  • Experience with Adobe Premiere or other similar video editing software.
  • Experience with Unreal 5 Blueprints and other Unreal tools.
  • Experience with lighting.
  • Experience with editing.
