Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Cinematic Artist to join our team at Tbwa Chiat/Day Inc. as a key member of our creative team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of crafting and delivering high-quality cinematic sequences for AAA games.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Cinematic Sequence Creation: Design and build high-quality cinematic sequences using cinematography, camera animation, and editing skills.
  • Pipeline Development: Collaborate with the team to establish and drive pipelines, processes, and methodologies across the cinematic teams.
  • Task Planning and Prioritization: Plan and prioritize tasks to ensure that deliverables are completed on time and to desired quality.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with other team members to resolve technical challenges and push project quality.
  • Mentorship: Supervise and coach more junior members of the team to success through reviews and mentorship.
Requirements:
  • Cinematic Artist Experience: Proven track record of crafting and delivering cinematics and cutscenes.
  • Cinematography Skills: Excellent framing and animation skills for cinematic cameras.
  • Software Proficiency: Proficient in Unreal engine 5 sequencer, MotionBuilder, Maya, or other equivalent 3D programs.
  • Cinematic Storytelling: Strong understanding of cinematic storytelling principles, cinematic language, literacy, and visual storytelling theory in an interactive medium.
  • Team Collaboration: Excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Additional Skills: Experience with Adobe Premiere or other similar video editing software, Unreal 5 blueprints, and other Unreal tools.
