Position Overview: The Senior Program Management Leader will be responsible for the comprehensive execution of designated programs, which include multiple concurrent internal and external initiatives for clients within a specific sector.

Team Development: Cultivate and mentor project management personnel for the assigned program initiatives.

Performance Management: Ensure that the assigned program achieves its profit, revenue, and growth objectives through effective resource allocation, budget oversight, and leveraging insights from analogous projects while managing benefits.

Proposal Development: Assist in crafting proposals that outline project team composition, workload distribution, timelines, and financial estimates. Collaborate with Business Development to foster client relationships.

Project Staffing: Recruit and initiate new program contracts and research & development projects punctually, evaluating resource requirements throughout.

Documentation and Compliance: Ensure that project and business requirements are clearly defined, documented in official records, and that projects are executed in accordance with company protocols.

Leadership Communication: Direct and communicate project strategy at the program board level, including making minor decisions and liaising with clients and key stakeholders as necessary.

Technical Liaison: Collaborate with project engineers and managers to ensure adherence to technical protocols, identify and manage critical project elements, and oversee accurate resource allocation.

Resource Forecasting: Work alongside the Programme Director and other stakeholders to anticipate resource needs and assist the organization in preparing for the operational and facility requirements of upcoming projects.

Reporting: Compile and summarize project reports for weekly consolidated updates and escalate issues to the Programme Director for resolution by senior leadership.

Risk Management: Support project teams in conducting thorough risk assessments, consolidating risks for the program, and minimizing overall program risk exposure.

Staffing Oversight: Supervise program project management staffing, including recruitment and training, while providing leadership and development opportunities for assigned project managers.

Performance Metrics: Ensure timely and precise monthly project reports and revenue forecasts. Lead recovery initiatives if projects diverge from established plans. Assist the program director in evaluating program performance indicators such as profitability, risk exposure, etc.

Qualifications: Recognized project management certification. Proven experience in leading and guiding high-performing teams within an agile, fast-paced, and collaborative environment. Background in engineering development, particularly in complex systems and projects, ideally within the defense or aerospace sectors. Strong business acumen. Proficient in creating and maintaining project plans using project management software.

Travel Requirements: Maintain the ability to travel as necessary, including holding a valid driving license and passport.
