Your Responsibilities- Provide direct care and support to residents in their daily activities, ensuring their safety and well-being.
- Develop positive and trusting relationships with residents, promoting independence and self-esteem.
- Implement individual care plans and support strategies tailored to each resident's specific needs.
- Encourage and facilitate residents' participation in recreational, social, and educational activities.
- Observe and record residents' progress, reporting any concerns or changes in behavior to the appropriate team members.
- Collaborate with colleagues and external professionals to ensure comprehensive and person-centered care.
- Promote a nurturing and inclusive environment that respects the dignity and rights of residents.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation and records related to resident care and progress.
- Adhere to all relevant policies, procedures, and legal requirements, including safeguarding and health and safety guidelines.
- Previous experience in children's support work, preferably within a residential setting.
- A compassionate and empathetic nature, with a genuine desire to make a positive impact on the lives of vulnerable individuals.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with residents and work effectively within a team.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage time efficiently.
- Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- A commitment to continuous professional development and learning.
- Must have a valid UK driving license.
