Job Title: Residential Childcare Support Worker

At Apple Orchard, we are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Residential Childcare Support Worker to join our team. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in providing a nurturing and supportive environment for young people in our care.

Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced and passionate individual who can provide high-quality care and support to young people in our residential settings. As a Residential Childcare Support Worker, you will be responsible for creating a safe and welcoming environment, promoting the well-being and development of our young people, and working collaboratively with our team to achieve outstanding outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide individualized care and support to young people, including daily living tasks, education, and leisure activities.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with young people, their families, and other professionals.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of individualized care plans, ensuring the needs and goals of each young person are met.
  • Participate in staff meetings, training, and development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge.
  • Work collaboratively with the management team to ensure the smooth operation of the residential setting.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience working with young people in a residential setting.
  • Hold a relevant qualification in childcare or a related field (e.g., Residential Childcare/Families Practitioner Diploma, Children and Young People's Workforce, NVQ Level in Health & Social Care).
  • Ability to work flexibly, including evenings, weekends, and sleep-ins.
  • Valid driving license and access to a vehicle.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and maintain confidentiality.
