Job Title: Residential Childcare Support Worker

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Residential Childcare Support Worker to join our team at Apple Orchard. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in providing a nurturing and supportive environment for young people aged 13-18 years.

About the Role:

As a Residential Childcare Support Worker, you will be responsible for ensuring the physical, emotional, and psychological well-being of our young residents. Your primary duties will include:

  • Creating a safe and welcoming environment that promotes positive relationships and attachments.
  • Developing and implementing individualized care plans to meet the unique needs of each young person.
  • Providing guidance and support to help young people develop life skills, independence, and self-confidence.
  • Collaborating with the management team and other staff members to ensure the smooth operation of the home.
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of young people's progress and achievements.
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Residential Childcare/Families Practitioner Diploma/Children and Young People's Workforce/NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care or equivalent.
  • Previous experience working with teenage boys or challenging behavior.
  • A willingness to further develop your skills and knowledge in this field.
  • A valid driving license and access to a vehicle.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to work flexibly, including evenings and weekends.
