Job Title: Residential Childcare Support Worker

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Residential Childcare Support Worker to join our team at Apple Orchard. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in providing a safe and nurturing environment for young people aged 13-18 years.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the well-being and development of our young residents. This will involve creating a stimulating and supportive environment that encourages personal growth and independence.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide individualized support and care to young people, addressing their unique needs and goals.
  • Develop and implement engaging activities that promote learning, socialization, and emotional well-being.
  • Collaborate with the management team to ensure the highest standards of care and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with young people, parents, and colleagues.
  • Contribute to a culture of open communication, respect, and empathy within the team.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience working with teenagers or in a residential care setting.
  • Hold a relevant qualification in childcare or a related field (e.g., NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care).
  • Valid driving license and access to a vehicle.
  • Ability to work flexibly, including evenings, weekends, and shift work.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
