About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled HR Associate to join our growing team at ISS | Institutional Shareholder Services. As a key member of our global HR team, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality HR expertise to the business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert advice and guidance on HR matters, utilizing effective communication channels and systems to address queries and provide solutions to the business and employees.
  • Partner with the EMEA Recruitment team on hiring needs, supporting the offer and onboarding process, and managing visa applications when required.
  • Manage ER case work, ensuring a best practice approach is followed, with support from the HR Lead for complex cases.
  • Oversee and ensure smooth onboarding and offboarding of employees.
  • Facilitate the performance management and development of our employees.
  • Communicate HR policies and processes, ensuring policies are up to date and compliant with local legislation.
  • In collaboration with the Global HR team, support activities such as the performance review process, promotion process, and compensation review.
  • Support the HR team with benefits management.
  • Build strong relationships and collaborate with other groups, such as Payroll, Finance, Corporate Services & IT, to support the business and employees appropriately.
  • Identify areas for improvement and recommend appropriate solutions to address the needs of a growing organization.
  • Partner with HR Generalists across EMEA and in the US and APAC on company-wide policies and initiatives.
  • Support the team with projects such as M&A change management programs, well-being, remuneration, culture, and engagement, and other HR-related work streams.
  • Ensure compliance with Immigration/UK Sponsorship License responsibilities, manage right to work checks for UK employees, and ensure employee data on Workday is accurate.
  • In collaboration with the HR team, ensure monthly payroll changes are actioned.
Requirements
  • A HR professional with hands-on experience covering a wide range of HR duties.
  • Able to demonstrate a good understanding of HR best practice and a proactive approach to professional development, including keeping up to date with Employment Law developments, HR trends, and evolutions in the people profession.
  • Relevant experience in a similar role, preferably at a growing organization.
  • Understanding of employment law and ability to handle employee relations cases.
  • Ability to build strong relationships across a global business and be seen as a trusted advisor.
  • Act with integrity, credibility, and professionalism at all times.
  • Demonstrable sound judgment and decision-making skills.
  • Strong collaboration skills and able to build relationships across all levels of the business in a global operating environment.
  • Able to prioritize and manage many tasks simultaneously.
  • Client-focused and actively partner with management and the HR team to achieve business objectives while respecting HR processes and policies.
  • Solutions-oriented mindset, actively seeking and implementing effective solutions to problems.
  • Strong technical skills and proficient in Microsoft Office, with experience of using Workday beneficial.
  • A degree in Human Resources, or related field.
  • CIPD Level 3 qualification or working towards would be advantageous.
