Rostering Administrator

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Rostering Clerk/Administrator to join our West Revenue Protection team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for creating, reviewing, and monitoring rosters for our team of 50 on-board colleagues.
Key Responsibilities- Analyze passenger numbers, busy services, and routes to create effective diagrams that maximize revenue income.
- Collate figures and facilitate reports for the management team to review with colleagues.
- Implement new systems to ensure the team can be run at maximum efficiency.
- Monitor annual leave and absence levels and adapt rosters accordingly.
- Plan and organize rosters, hotels, and resources for Revenue Protection events.
- Order and maintain crew equipment and uniform.
- Print and mail drop information for colleagues.
- Ensure GDPR is maintained throughout the team.
- Post on notice boards important information.
- Filing and maintenance of crew records on Paper Vision.
- Attend high-profile confidential meetings within the GWR network and note/minutetake to a high standard.
- Report information to other departments through various systems.
- Take notes and messages for the Revenue Protection Managers in their absence.
- Problem-solve and solution-find for colleagues.
We are looking for a professional with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, who is naturally proactive with a good eye for detail. You should be calm and confident, working well under pressure, and enthusiastic about creating and designing efficient team systems.
Requirements- Excellent computer skills, ideally experienced in using Office 365 (additional training will be provided for railway-specific applications).
- Previous experience using Excel to monitor team performance using formulas, creating spreadsheets, and running reports.
- Previous experience in administrative roles.
- Ideal experience with creating effective rosters for a team.
- Ability to follow and implement agreed rostering rules and implement consistently.

What Else Do I Need to Know?You must live within one hour's traveling time from Plymouth station. There may be occasions requiring very early starts and late finishes, so you must be able to travel to and from the station at times when there is no public transport.
