About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Railway Operations Coordinator. This is a unique opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment and contribute to the success of our railway operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support a widespread team covering 5 depots from Exeter to Penzance, completing a range of administrative duties.
  • Create, review, and monitor rosters for the team, ensuring seamless train operations.
  • Monitor annual leave and absence levels, adapting rosters accordingly to minimize disruptions.
  • Plan and organize rosters, hotels, and resources for Revenue Protection events, ensuring high-profile meetings run smoothly.
  • Attend confidential meetings within the GWR network, taking accurate notes and minutes.
  • Utilize Excel to monitor team performance, creating spreadsheets and running reports to inform decision-making.
Requirements
  • Excellent computer skills, ideally experienced in using Office 365, with additional training provided for railway-specific applications.
  • Previous experience using Excel to monitor team performance, creating spreadsheets, and running reports.
  • Ability to travel to and from the station at times when there is no public transport, with occasional early starts and late finishes.
