About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Train Manager to join our team at Great Western Railway (GWR). As a Train Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our trains, providing exceptional customer service, and maintaining a clean and pleasant environment for our passengers.

Main Responsibilities

  • Deliver a world-class customer experience throughout the journey.
  • Manage the safety and operational activities of the train.
  • Check and sell tickets, providing information and assistance as required.
  • Ensure a safe, clean, and pleasant environment is maintained.

Requirements

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations.
  • Supervisory experience and ability to manage a team.
  • Experience of front-line customer service and ability to build relationships with customers.
  • Confidence to manage challenging situations and make decisions in a timely manner.
