About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Team Leader to join our team at Network Rail. As a Team Leader, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient delivery of work on our rail network.

Key Responsibilities
  • Direct and inspire a team of operatives involved in inspection, faulting, maintenance, and renewal of railway infrastructure.
  • Establish and maintain safety arrangements to ensure the well-being of Network Rail staff and contractors.
  • Proactively control and check the quality of work and the competence of team members.
  • Compile reports and provide updates on team performance and progress.
  • Work with equipment including signals, level crossings, and points systems.
Requirements
  • Experience of organizing and controlling the safe and efficient delivery of work.
  • Excellent communication skills, both in person and in writing.
  • Knowledge of discipline-specific maintenance, inspection, faulting, and renewal techniques.
  • Knowledge of relevant standards, procedures, and instructions.
  • A clear and inspirational leader with a strong sense of direction.
