About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Service Delivery Assistant at Plymouth Station. As a key member of our station team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our services and providing an exceptional customer experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional customer service and support to our passengers, responding to their queries and resolving issues in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Ensure the safe and punctual departure of trains from the station, adhering to strict procedures and protocols.
  • Provide helpful information and assistance to customers, including answering questions and providing directions.
  • Ensure the cleanliness and safety of the station, including the toilets, waiting rooms, platforms, stairs, and subways.
  • Liaise with other key departments to ensure accurate and timely customer information, particularly during times of disruption.
  • Contribute to maintaining a secure environment within the station, promoting a culture of safety and respect.
Requirements
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers, colleagues, and other stakeholders.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible and adaptable approach to work.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make sound decisions.
  • Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure, with a customer-focused approach to work.
  • Fully computer literate, with experience of using operational systems and applications.
