Health, Safety & Wellbeing Manager

Skanska, a prominent player in the global project development and construction sector, is committed to fostering an inclusive and responsible work environment that contributes to societal advancement.

In collaboration with Anglian Water, Skanska is in search of a Health, Safety & Wellbeing Manager to enhance our infrastructure team. The primary goal of this role is to spearhead the development and execution of the Alliance AMP7 Health, Safety & Wellbeing strategy and plan.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in formulating the Health & Safety strategy and action plans throughout the program, ensuring comprehensive data collection, reporting, and responsive actions.
  • Collaborate with project delivery teams to uphold workplace safety standards, conducting site inspections and audits, while investigating and addressing incidents.
  • Establish and implement Alliance procedures and policies, providing training to ensure compliance and staying updated on relevant legislation and best practices.
  • Organize, schedule, and execute Tool-Box Talks, site briefings, awareness campaigns, and other communication initiatives.
  • Oversee and coordinate the Health, Safety & Wellbeing resources and team to guarantee adequate support and development plans for construction management teams.
  • Engage with key stakeholders and Anglian Water to cultivate and implement safety competency and culture across the program.
Qualifications:
  • NEBOSH Diploma.
  • Graduate member of IOSH or higher.
  • Extensive experience in Health & Safety management within a design and construction context.
