Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Health and Safety Adviser to join our team at Musk Process Services. As a key member of our SHEQ team, you will play a critical role in promoting good health and safety practices throughout the business and developing a positive safety culture.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement effective health and safety strategies to minimize risks and ensure compliance with relevant legislation and regulations.
  • Work closely with operational sites and project teams to provide professional health, safety, and environmental support and guidance.
  • Lead Safety Committee Meetings and act on feedback to drive continuous improvement.
  • Support the team to ensure the on-going compliance of our Integrated Quality, Environmental, and Health & Safety Management Systems with certified ISO standards.
  • Complete operational site audits and inspections to achieve health and safety compliance at site level, report back findings, and ensure corrective actions are in place.
  • Work with clients and sub-contractors to build alignment with our approach to health, safety, and environment, providing technical health and safety advice in accordance with current legislation and good practice.
  • Design and support the implementation of risk control techniques, promote the use of suitable resources, and oversee systems to manage risks effectively across the business and at sites.
  • Carry out required incident investigations to ensure that they are dealt with appropriately and that incident root causes are identified and acted upon.
  • Assist in occupational health matters relating to the physical and mental health of staff, providing the correct advice and direction to the workforce at all levels.
  • Act on relevant legislative changes and organisational requirements, helping to develop and implement solutions where necessary to maintain compliance.

Requirements

  • Hold a NEBOSH General Certificate in Occupational Health & Safety or NEBOSH Health & Safety Management for Construction Certificate.
  • Excellent working knowledge of current legislation, codes of practice, guidance, and operating procedures.
  • Proven track record of success in implementing effective management systems compliant with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO standards.
