Health, Safety & Wellbeing Advisor

Skanska, a prominent global leader in project development and construction, is committed to fostering an inclusive and responsible environment that contributes to societal betterment.

As part of a collaborative initiative with Anglian Water, Skanska is on the lookout for a Health, Safety & Wellbeing Advisor to enhance our infrastructure team. The mission of this partnership is to optimize and extend the Anglian Water network, ensuring a reliable water supply for all customers. The primary objective of this position is to deliver expert Health, Safety & Wellbeing (HSW) guidance, coaching, and support to project teams throughout the project lifecycle, from pre-construction to completion.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough site assessments and document findings to ensure adherence to the Alliance Management System (AMS).
  • Assist operational teams in cultivating safety-oriented behaviors consistent with the LIFE strategy and provide on-site support for behavioral safety training initiatives.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to pinpoint organizational needs and promote transparent communication across the Alliance.
  • Facilitate the LIFE orientation program audit and completion, deliver HSW training sessions, and conduct regular wellbeing assessments and support.
  • Participate in project rehearsals and meetings to offer HSW insights and document outcomes in the Alliance management platform (PIM) to establish a project risk profile.
  • Execute incident investigations, collect evidence, conduct interviews, and prepare reports in accordance with AMS and parent company standards.
Qualifications:
  • NEBOSH Construction Certificate.
  • Technician grade membership of IOSH or higher.
  • CSCS Safety Professional Card.
