Health and Safety Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Health and Safety Manager to join our team at Assured Safety Recruitment Ltd. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for promoting a positive health and safety culture and providing direction for health and safety across our operations.
Key Responsibilities- Health and Safety Advice and Support: Provide expert advice, guidance, and support to employees and volunteers on all health, safety, and risk management matters.
- Event Planning and Preparation: Work with key stakeholders to plan and prepare events, outdoor activities, and educational events, ensuring that appropriate health and safety measures are implemented.
- Health and Safety Training: Identify, develop, and maintain a program of health and safety training for staff and volunteers.
- Health and Safety Monitoring and Performance: Coordinate health and safety monitoring and performance, reporting to the Leadership Team and to the Board.
- Facility Inspections: Lead on the inspections of all buildings, plant, and public facilities to ensure appropriate recording and monitoring procedures, ensuring any required remedial works or actions are implemented.
- Emergency Planning: Ensure that fire plans, fire risk assessments, and business continuity plans are produced and kept up to date to reflect changes in personnel or process.
- Safeguarding: Review existing policy and practices relating to safeguarding and provide support in its development.
To be successful in this role, you will need to hold a minimum qualification of Nebosh Certificate or equivalent Level 3 qualification in health and safety. Previous experience as a Health and Safety Manager or Advisor in a multi-site environment or for a multifaceted organization is essential. Experience working for an organization with outdoor spaces or similar is ideal, but not essential. If you are enthusiastic about outdoor spaces and events, wildlife, and creating sustainable environments, we would welcome your application.
We are looking for a flexible individual who can work some hours at weekends due to special organized events.
