About the Role

Citizens Advice is seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to join our team as a Public Affairs Assistant. As a key member of our public affairs team, you will play a crucial role in supporting our national campaigning and influencing work, day-to-day public affairs activities, and projects to help us improve how the team works.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the development and implementation of our national campaigning and influencing strategy
  • Assist in the coordination of public affairs activities, including stakeholder engagement and event planning
  • Contribute to the development of policy briefs and other campaign materials
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including parliamentarians, civil servants, and other external partners
  • Provide administrative support to the public affairs team, including data management and record-keeping
Requirements
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive working relationships
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment, with a flexible and adaptable approach
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and creatively
  • Knowledge of the UK policy and campaigning landscape, with a strong understanding of the issues affecting citizens
