Position Overview

As a Chef de Partie, you will work closely with our culinary team to create delicious dishes that cater to both health and taste.

In addition to showcasing exceptional presentation, organizational, and communication skills, you will embody a genuine enthusiasm for food and service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and cook menu items as instructed by the Sous Chef or Head Chef.
  • Contribute to menu development and planning, staying informed about emerging food trends and innovating service styles.
  • Assist with inventory management as needed.
  • Ensure the efficient operation of your designated section.
  • Deliver prompt and exceptional service to customers, consistently exceeding their expectations.
  • Maintain a customer-centric approach, being approachable and responsive to their needs.
  • Collaborate with team members, offering assistance when required.
  • Foster a respectful and supportive team environment.
  • Guide and mentor Commis Chefs in food preparation and cooking techniques as directed.
  • Manage food orders for your section, ensuring compliance with food standards and cost agreements.
  • Develop an understanding of food costing, sales mix, and menu planning.
  • Adhere to the company's hygiene and health and safety protocols.
  • Follow established cleaning schedules rigorously.
  • Maintain food storage areas in accordance with hygiene and safety policies.
  • Take initiative in your professional development with guidance from the Sous Chef or Head Chef, participating in training opportunities.
  • Demonstrate commitment to the company's values in all aspects of your role.
  • Act as a positive representative of the business.
  • Respond to reasonable requests from clients or management.
  • Attend training sessions as required.
  • Comply with the company's safer recruitment and safeguarding policies at all times.
Qualifications
  • Experience in a similar role within a contract catering environment or educational institution is preferred.
  • Culinary degree or relevant certifications from a recognized culinary school.
  • Strong understanding of food safety standards and best practices.
  • Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced kitchen setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as necessary.
  • Enthusiastic and fun-loving personality.
