Wholesale Assistant Manager

Job Summary
We are seeking an ambitious Wholesale Cash & Carry Assistant Manager to join our team at Van Vliet in Southampton. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring high levels of customer service and supporting the Cash & Carry Manager in achieving business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Cash & Carry Manager in delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Maximize profitability through effective control of sales, margins, and overheads.
- Assist in day-to-day productivity and support the team in creating a customer-focused working environment.
- Take initiative to identify opportunities for growth and develop a high level of knowledge of customers and their requirements.
- Monitor competitors and provide feedback to the site Manager and teams to improve services.
- Support the Site Manager in stock checks and ensure the Cash & Carry is manned to expected levels.
- Assist the manager in team training and development.
- Liaise with Human Resources to ensure compliance with statutory law requirements.
- Promote a safe working environment and lead by example in reporting incidents, accidents, and near misses.
