About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Curriculum Director to lead our Digital Technologies team at Newcastle College. As a key member of our education leadership team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing our digital curriculum, ensuring high-quality learning experiences for our students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Curriculum Development: Design and implement industry-standard digital technologies curriculum, ensuring alignment with College key performance indicators.
  • Leadership and Management: Line manage direct reports, providing guidance and support to ensure high levels of performance within the curriculum area.
  • Quality Assurance: Lead the implementation of quality, finance, and health and safety requirements, ensuring compliance across the College.
  • Business Planning: Support the Head of Curriculum in College business planning and performance monitoring processes, contributing to the School's growth and priority areas.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Build relationships with employers throughout the North East, ensuring high levels of satisfaction with NCG apprenticeships.
  • Performance Management: Participate in staff review and performance management processes, identifying and meeting training needs for self and others.
Requirements
  • Qualified Teacher Status: Essential
  • Experience in Digital Technologies: Proven experience in curriculum design, innovation, planning, delivering, and assessing digital technologies.
  • Leadership and Management: Experience of effective people and performance management, with a track record of improving learner success and progression.
  • Learning Technologies: Experience of deploying learning technologies, tracking processes, and using college monitoring systems to support learners.
