Position Overview

Nebula Physio and Wellbeing Ltd is seeking a skilled MSK physiotherapist to provide coverage during a maternity leave period. The successful candidate will serve as a senior physiotherapist, delivering exceptional outpatient physiotherapy services. Candidates should possess strong clinical competencies, excellent manual therapy skills, and effective interpersonal abilities, along with an acupuncture certification.

Nebula Physio and Wellbeing is dedicated to fostering a holistic approach to health, emphasizing the integration of emotional wellbeing into physiotherapy practices. The role includes some administrative responsibilities related to business operations, which are detailed in the duties section below.

This position involves independent work within a clinical environment, supported by a senior physiotherapist. The role offers significant flexibility in scheduling to promote a healthy work-life balance, with opportunities for weekday, evening, and weekend hours, although evening and weekend work is not mandatory.

This is a fixed-term employment opportunity, with potential for continued employment following the maternity leave coverage.

Compensation is based on experience, ranging from £20 per hour (£39,000 per year pro rata) to £23.50 per hour (£45,825 per year pro rata).

To qualify for this position, applicants must possess:

  • A relevant degree or qualification in Physiotherapy
  • HCPC Registration as a Physiotherapist
  • Authorization to work in the UK
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience in the UK healthcare system
  • At least 3 years of experience in an MSK outpatient setting
  • An acupuncture qualification, such as a foundation course or membership with AACP or equivalent (candidates not currently qualified but willing to undergo acupuncture training prior to starting are encouraged to inquire)
  • Experience in managing persistent pain conditions
  • Strong time management and communication skills
  • An empathetic and motivating demeanor
  • Full vaccination against COVID-19

Preferred (but not mandatory) qualifications include:

  • Experience in Pilates

Key Responsibilities:

  • Independently conduct physiotherapy assessments to establish clinical diagnoses and provide treatments for a personal MSK caseload, utilizing evidence-based practices
  • Manage clients with a diverse range of MSK conditions, including chronic pain
  • Effectively and efficiently manage a personal patient caseload
  • Develop treatment plans and maintain physiotherapy records in accordance with HCPC regulations
  • Assume professional and legal responsibility for personal work
  • Ensure ongoing professional development in line with industry standards
  • Perform business-related administrative tasks, including client communication, appointment management, insurance billing, inventory management, and business promotion (training will be provided for administrative responsibilities).
