About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Physiotherapist to join our dedicated team at Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. In this role, you will play a vital part in providing exceptional patient care across a diverse range of specialities.
Key Responsibilities
- Delivering high-quality physiotherapy treatment to patients with orthopaedic, neurological, respiratory, and elderly care conditions.
- Collaborating effectively within a multidisciplinary team (MDT) to ensure holistic patient care.
- Contributing to the clinical education of junior staff members and assistants.
- Leading audits, service evaluations, or research projects to enhance patient outcomes and drive continuous improvement.
Essential Requirements
- A Diploma or Degree in Physiotherapy (or equivalent)
- Registration with the HCPC
- Evidence of relevant postgraduate education and continuing professional development (CPD)
- Experience as a Band 5 physiotherapist across various specialities, including respiratory, elderly care, neurological, and musculoskeletal conditions.
- Proven experience working within a physiotherapy team and/or MDT environment.
- A commitment to personal and team development.
- The ability to work independently and manage your own caseload effectively.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate clearly with patients, colleagues, and other healthcare professionals.
- Strong administrative and computer skills.
Desirable Requirements
- Membership of The Chartered Society of Physiotherapy or a relevant professional network.
- An MSc or postgraduate research qualification.
- Band 6 experience.
- Experience in supervising physiotherapy students.
- Experience working within a community setting.
- Proven ability to conduct formal presentations at academic conferences.
- Experience in publishing and presenting audit, service evaluation, or research findings.
- A good understanding of the workings of community and primary care settings.
