About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Physiotherapist to join our dedicated team at Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. In this role, you will play a vital part in providing exceptional patient care across a diverse range of specialities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Delivering high-quality physiotherapy treatment to patients with orthopaedic, neurological, respiratory, and elderly care conditions.
  • Collaborating effectively within a multidisciplinary team (MDT) to ensure holistic patient care.
  • Contributing to the clinical education of junior staff members and assistants.
  • Leading audits, service evaluations, or research projects to enhance patient outcomes and drive continuous improvement.

Essential Requirements

  • A Diploma or Degree in Physiotherapy (or equivalent)
  • Registration with the HCPC
  • Evidence of relevant postgraduate education and continuing professional development (CPD)
  • Experience as a Band 5 physiotherapist across various specialities, including respiratory, elderly care, neurological, and musculoskeletal conditions.
  • Proven experience working within a physiotherapy team and/or MDT environment.
  • A commitment to personal and team development.
  • The ability to work independently and manage your own caseload effectively.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate clearly with patients, colleagues, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Strong administrative and computer skills.

Desirable Requirements

  • Membership of The Chartered Society of Physiotherapy or a relevant professional network.
  • An MSc or postgraduate research qualification.
  • Band 6 experience.
  • Experience in supervising physiotherapy students.
  • Experience working within a community setting.
  • Proven ability to conduct formal presentations at academic conferences.
  • Experience in publishing and presenting audit, service evaluation, or research findings.
  • A good understanding of the workings of community and primary care settings.
