The Princess Alexandra Hospital NHS Trust is seeking dedicated individuals to join our outpatient team as Patient Care Assistants. Our Trust operates numerous outpatient clinics across various locations, covering a wide range of specialties including pediatrics, geriatric care, general surgery, oncology, and more.

This is a pivotal moment for our outpatient department as we strive to enhance the quality of service provided to our patients and the organization as a whole.

We invite applications from enthusiastic and motivated individuals who are eager to grow in this role by pursuing the Care Certificate, a nationally recognized qualification. You will receive hands-on experience, guided by our Practice Development Team and seasoned Outpatient Team members.

We encourage prospective candidates to visit our department informally, where we would be pleased to provide a tour.

Key Responsibilities

  • The scope of responsibilities will be defined and monitored by the clinic manager.
  • Assist with fundamental care and other patient-related activities under the guidance of a Registered Nurse.
  • Execute tasks as directed by qualified nursing staff.
  • Support the efficient operation of the clinics and ensure continuous service delivery to patients.
  • Maintain flexibility in working hours to accommodate clinic operations.
