Job Overview

Primary Care Careers is seeking a dedicated Patient Services Coordinator to join our dynamic team on a part-time basis. This role involves working during weekdays, specifically Monday through Thursday, to support our busy practice and contribute positively to our community.

As a vital member of our front-line staff, the Patient Services Coordinator plays a crucial role in assisting patients in accessing appropriate services, maintaining accurate health records, and managing appointment schedules effectively. Key Responsibilities

  • Welcoming and guiding all patients upon arrival.
  • Scheduling appointments and distributing appointment cards as necessary.
  • Handling prescriptions, letters, completed forms, and specimen bottles efficiently.
  • Addressing inquiries and resolving issues or complaints.
  • Informing patients about practice protocols.
  • Registering new patients into the system.
  • Answering phone calls promptly and professionally.

Job Requirements

Essential Qualifications

  • Strong communication skills with a courteous and clear telephone demeanor.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism while respecting patients.
  • Experience in public-facing roles, demonstrating sensitivity and empathy in challenging situations.
  • Capability to work collaboratively within a team and think critically under pressure.
  • Proficient IT and administrative skills.
  • Flexibility to cover additional hours as needed to support colleagues.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a medical or healthcare receptionist is advantageous.
