Transport Administrator

About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled Transport Administrator to join our Customer Delivery Operations team at the John Lewis Partnership. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our transport services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Communicate effectively with all stakeholders, including Partners and external service providers, to resolve operational issues and provide timely handovers.
- Maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, escalating issues and managing relationships as required.
- Stay up-to-date on knowledge of the Road Transport Directive, Domestic and EU Drivers Hours Regulations, and assist the Site Management Team and Operator Licence holders to ensure compliance.
Requirements:
- Experience or interest in working in transport compliance.
- Excellent PC skills, including proficiency in Google Docs, Google Sheets, Google Slides, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Experience with Transport Compliance systems for defective vehicles and driver's hours.
- Strong maths and communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Good working knowledge of IT systems.
Desirable Skills:
- Good organization and planning skills, with a strong working knowledge of Transport Legislation.
- Experience working in a Transport office and within Transport Compliance.
- Transport Compliance Legislation knowledge, including driver's hours and working time, vehicle maintenance planning, and infringements.
- Transport or Logistics Apprenticeship.
- Knowledge of Telematics systems and Routeplanner.
