About the Role:

Embark, a leading provider of plant hire services, is seeking an experienced Assistant Plant Manager to join our team. This is a full-time, permanent position that requires a strong commitment to delivering excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage plant hire operations, ensuring seamless delivery of services to clients and contractors.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with repeat customers, providing tailored solutions to meet their needs.
  • Process and follow up on quotations, taking into account customer requirements and company policies.
  • Handle on-hire and off-hire calls, resolving any issues promptly and efficiently.
  • Liaise with service and transport departments to ensure smooth operations.
  • Administer contracts on our bespoke IT system, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Perform filing and administrative tasks, maintaining a high level of organization and attention to detail.
  • Resolve customer queries and complaints in a professional and timely manner.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a similar role, such as Hire Controller, Senior Hire Controller, or Hire Manager, within the plant hire industry.
  • Strong commitment to delivering exceptional customer service, with a focus on building long-term relationships.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Excellent communication and IT skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Ability to undertake other duties, including driving, as required.
