This role at Colas Rail involves the operation and management of various plant machinery within a specified area. The responsibilities include driving On-Track Machines (OTMs) and may extend to operating additional equipment such as Rail Grinders and Freight trains. Ensuring safety is paramount in this position.

Essential Qualifications

  • Significant experience in train operation
  • Familiarity with designated routes
  • Valid European Driving Licence
  • Valid Road Driving Licence
  • PTS Certification
  • Fire Safety Training
  • Emergency First Aid Certification
  • Experience as a Driver Mentor
  • Capability to operate all types of On-Track Machines in the assigned area
  • Understanding of Safety Plans and Method Statements
  • Adherence to Health & Safety regulations
