Job Title: OTM Driver/Fitter/Operator

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced OTM Driver/Fitter/Operator to join our team at Colas Rail UK. As a key member of our rail plant maintenance team, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of our OTM fleet, ensuring that our rail plant is maintained to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate OTMs in accordance with Railway Standards and company procedures.
  • Perform routine maintenance and safety checks on OTMs, identifying and reporting any faults or defects.
  • Assist specialist fitter staff with maintenance and repairs, ensuring that all work is carried out to the highest standards.
  • Report all service faults and failures immediately to the Rail Plant Control Desk.
  • Work collaboratively with the maintenance team to ensure that all maintenance activities are completed on time and to budget.

Person Specification:

  • Good knowledge of computer and phone skills, including Windows, Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Flexible, honest, and punctual, with a strong commitment to safety and quality.
  • Certified in Vehicle, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering NVQ Level 3 or equivalent.
  • Good communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and stakeholders.
  • Able to perform weekend and night shift duties, as required.
