About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Waste Business Manager to join our team at Veolia ES (UK) LIMITED. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for leading a team to deliver key operations, ensuring all staff, visitors, and contractors follow site rules.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a team to deliver key operations, ensuring all staff, visitors, and contractors follow site rules.
  • Ensure everyone on site (including contractors) are trained, inducted, and monitored to ensure correct standards of working and adherence to site rules.
  • Control waste reception, acceptance, and disposal operations.
  • Maintain and inspect mobile plant and equipment (e.g. yellow plant / screeners / weighbridge etc.) to ensure safe and compliant use & operation.
  • Oversee safe construction projects (cell construction, quarrying activities, leachate/gas infrastructure development, and site restoration).
  • Deliver site financial performance, including CAPEX/OPEX/Budgets, projects, and reporting of financial data; ensure achievement of budget.
  • Deliver consistently high levels of customer service and site administration, including working knowledge of business applications.
  • Manage and develop a successful team.
Requirements
  • Previous management experience of delivering multi-activities on operational sites.
  • Previous experience managing budgets, achievement of strategic goals.
  • Previous experience of delivering services to a high standard of Safety and Compliance.
  • Experience with plant equipment and other vehicles that may be used onsite.
  • The ability to lead and develop a high-performing team.
