Electrical Operations Manager

Working Hours:
Monday – Friday, Full-time

Compensation:
Competitive based on experience

Oversee and manage the effective implementation of electrical engineering and maintenance tasks to ensure optimal plant reliability within the designated section and beyond, while adhering to safety, health, environmental, and financial objectives.

Uphold and implement all organizational maintenance strategies and protocols at the facility.

Ensure safe practices and maintain environmental standards to achieve zero accidents and incidents in accordance with relevant legislation and company policies, supporting the goal of maintaining operational licenses and preventing injuries.

Direct and manage the establishment of a safe electrical environment at the facility to promote the aim of zero harm to employees, contractors, and visitors.


  • Foster a cultural environment where all personnel under the job holder's supervision prioritize their safety and that of others, including contractors, achieving zero harm.
  • Actively participate as a member of the engineering and maintenance management team to develop the plant's maintenance strategies, contributing to ongoing decision-making processes. Supervise and coordinate the deployment of internal or external resources and the effective execution of the daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance schedules within the specified area.
  • Collaborate with the Maintenance Planning Department to ensure the availability of appropriate parts, labor, and equipment to fulfill the maintenance schedule.
  • Work alongside the Reliability Department to ensure that inspection outcomes are addressed to meet reliability targets.
  • Coordinate the allocation of labor, parts, and equipment resources to ensure cost-effective and optimized deployment.
  • Manage the performance of assigned maintenance technicians regarding their productivity, motivation, and discipline. Monitor the performance of staff and contractors to ensure adherence to plans, taking corrective actions to realign the maintenance schedule when unexpected tasks arise.
  • Oversee the execution of preventive maintenance inspections and procedures to avert unplanned outages.
  • Generate timely reports and analyses for the maintenance management team to support informed decision-making.
  • Plan and coordinate the maintenance aspects of the annual plant shutdown within the established framework, collaborating with other disciplines to ensure safety, reliability, and efficiency in assigned areas. Monitor the budget daily in the designated area, identifying variances and implementing corrective measures to ensure performance aligns with budgetary expectations.
  • Inspire and develop maintenance technicians to acquire and retain the necessary skills and knowledge while maintaining high motivation levels.
  • Manage the complete employee lifecycle for all direct reports, including talent and succession planning to ensure optimal performance of the maintenance team.
  • Conduct systematic checks to guarantee that the maintenance team is provided with and archives the correct documentation related to Health and Safety, Environmental standards, and all legal obligations within the defined area of responsibility.
